Boilerplate

Copy this verbatim. It is the description we use everywhere, so quoting it keeps coverage consistent with our own materials.

The Curious Thing makes personalized AI portrait keepsakes: you upload a photo, choose a magical world (or an art style for a whole-family portrait, or a persona for a pet portrait), and an AI portrait repaints your child, your whole family, or your pet, with their real faces preserved. The portrait prints as a premium custom jigsaw puzzle, a gallery-wrapped canvas, a framed canvas, or a cozy fleece blanket, shipped free in the US, and every order also includes a digital copy. You approve a proof before anything prints, and the original photo is deleted within 24 hours.

Short version, for a gift guide line: a photo of your child becomes a painted portrait of them as the hero of a magical world, printed as a puzzle, canvas or blanket. Puzzles from $45, free US shipping, and nothing prints until a parent approves the proof.

How We Handle a Child's Photo

This is the part of the category most worth scrutinizing, so here is our position in full. Every claim below is enforced in the product, not just stated in a policy, and each one is checkable against our Privacy Policy.

  • The uploaded photo is deleted within 24 hours. It is removed automatically, not on request, and not held for a marketing archive.
  • We never train models on customer images. Every generation call carries the provider's training opt-out.
  • A child's name never reaches the model. Prompts carry appearance descriptors only, never the name a parent typed.
  • A parent approves a watermarked proof before anything prints. Approval and payment are both required, and the watermark comes off only after payment confirms.
  • No customer's child appears in our marketing without separate written permission. The children shown across this site are a fixed, permissioned pair used in every example.
  • We sell a finished object, not a generator. The output is one portrait a family keeps, printed on a physical product, not an open-ended feed of AI content.

Brand Assets

Logos are cleared for editorial use in coverage of The Curious Thing. Please don't recolor, rotate, or stretch the mark.

Product photography, high-resolution portrait renders, and review samples are available on request. Tell us the format and orientation your layout needs and we will send files cut to it.
